commercial break !

imagine looking tv and only five minutes into a movie there is… a commercial break…

I will not start to praise candy bars or toilet paper here, but this picture came to my mind as i realised how much time of the last two weeks i had to work for my advertising network LOUDBRANDING… Quite interesting stuff like an audio logo for example - but it nevertheless  postpones the album work…

Some “old RMB fans” might comment in a bitter sweet voice that they are not too unfamiliar with waiting for new stuff but… yeah, ok, start ranting ;)

On the other hand - if the advertising work is published i could write about all the creative and technical processes here… if someone is interested in “mere merchandising music”

Audio branding involves a lot of psychology / neuro-marketing. At least from the theoretical point of view. How do you make sure, that the audio track in a short spot does, what it has to do? Do you perform some perceptual research during the production process to find out if the track “drills” the mind?

I hate commercial break - bad commercial break ! But I like good commercial break and it has struck me for a long time, that good music makes the commercial break more interesting, and I am glad of course that Rolf does the commercial break world more interesting!
” SMART - break ” is the best one! And the chips also.

Well, we are all used to waiting for new stuff Rolf :-))) i’m personally interested in everything you do, even if thats “just” merchandising. What about film music? Have you done the “60 seconds” soundtrack in the end? i have searched for that film or its music everywhere without any success.
And one final question: what are those white boxes below your monitors? :-)

@Robert: For the movie you have to ask Martin Weisz or his assistant. i might have the email here. but i thought they used another score. but you can find the titel at the online gema. look closely ;-)
