Hope it doesn’t sound too familiar concerning the album.
The crowd is eagerly waiting for the second (third, forth…) coming of Jesus.
14. January 2009 at 21:00
So let us all pray that it’ll be all finished soon and that the glorious rain of Copact Discs filled with heavenly sounds will fall upon us! Amen loop forever
15. January 2009 at 20:23
…can´t wait…
16. January 2009 at 02:46
for me this is great
which drum sampler is this ?
16. January 2009 at 10:48
The bass works fine for me… Why should be there a problem with the sample?
16. January 2009 at 10:55
for most of the time i work with either my self collected and edited drumsamples (it contains a lot of drumbox sounds run through analog compressors and EQs for example) or i use existing drumloops or superior drummer 2.0 and program a loop and go wild in destroying it
on this upcoming album i often tried to combine the depth and “smack” of acoustic drums and percussion with the exactly tuneable punch of electronic drum sounds - and run it all through analog gear and a compressor to make it ONE BEAT…
16. January 2009 at 12:50
ROLF! Where is the cool bassline? It has way too few mid frequencies, so one doesn’t hear the harmonies quite clearly. And apart from that it sounded way cooler with the old bassline. Sorry.
The sample works fine for me. Clearer than before and making a difference to the great reverbs in the other parts.
16. January 2009 at 13:03
Do you have a title for the album yet?
16. January 2009 at 15:33
yes
16. January 2009 at 15:34
That was mean!
Let me pose the question more precisely: what is the title of the new album?
18. January 2009 at 20:47
Thanks for response Rolf
19. January 2009 at 20:11
“yes” - is a funny titel for the album Rolf!!!
or ” finally ready” - is auch not bad!
…………………………………………….

19. January 2009 at 20:47
Rolf, do we get an article about what have you done in the studio?
19. January 2009 at 21:25
Coooooooooooool!!!
19. January 2009 at 22:29
There is no problem with the current bass sound. Is it actually a (multi)sample or a patch from kind of synth?
20. January 2009 at 14:00
i think i will go deeply into each song, its history and the technical aspects of its production when the album is released… i think about going on with this blog and concentrate on one song per week… the album concept is also about listener´s reception so it will be highly interactive…
20. January 2009 at 15:05
hope to get the album befor 13th of february, cas than i gonna be abroad for a longer time…. or is it possible to get your album in china

i can make good advertisment for you
20. January 2009 at 17:09
Thx, this seems like a nice idea! I always wanted to have the chance for a conversation regarding your music, especially when i listened Widescreen for the first time.
20. January 2009 at 22:16
Hi, just wondered if there is going to be a release on CD and Vinyl?
I prefer the timing of the Vocals in the edit of the Mainpage-Snippet to this one, but i still like it very much! Can’t wait for the release
20. January 2009 at 23:27
@Rolf - “the album concept is also about listener´s reception so it will be highly interactive…”
WOW - now I understand all that. We all, are only test rabbits in your experiment “musik instead of drugs”.
I thought that you are the central figure, but these are we,
the listeners.
OK - if we get for it the album.
Ps. your test Banny 51
21. January 2009 at 14:08
me too waiting for the release!
21. January 2009 at 14:38
GO!!!! COOL!!! )))
21. January 2009 at 18:11
Will the CD be mixed, umixed or eveb both on tow CDs?
And Rolf, before you release the CD, could you please add some information how to buy the CD and how to get notified, when we have to order?
21. January 2009 at 18:44
the songs will not be mixed, espescially not in a “DJ way”… it wouldn´t fit the concept and its overly done in the last years to my mind…
@waiting… if you just entered a REAL mail adress instead of “abc@de.fg” you would get a mail with all information soon
but of course there will be a big post in here as well…
22. January 2009 at 00:03
Hello Rolf, I didn’t post anything here in the blog yet but im watching it for several months now. And I’d listened to every single sound snippet you posted in here.
I will put it shortly: “RMB” was so awesome…but “Rolf Maier Bode” is even much better
Some of the snippets are really incredible (in positive way) and im looking forward to holding your new album in my hands.
Im sure its going to be great!
22. January 2009 at 10:38
It’s still RMB
just take a look at the first records released by RMB - all songs were composed by Rolf
23. January 2009 at 15:40
Yeah, but the style has *slightly* changed!
23. January 2009 at 18:13
Style was changing all the time unfortunatelly. For sure we are missing Rave tracks now…
23. January 2009 at 19:35
@ Tropyx:
RMB was Farid + Rolf to me, and not Rolf alone
(Yeah, at the beginning it was also only Rolf…)
That was what i tried to say.
Well, i really like that new style of music. It sounds so experimental…different to everything else. Not to say extraordinary
It’s good!
Eventually we’ll will be able to hear new rave tracks from Rolf…if he feels the urge to make some new ones…some day.
Who knows?
…Rolf!
23. January 2009 at 22:32
i´ll never say never
24. January 2009 at 15:20
I’m kind of amazed. I’ve just got home back to my studio fired up the system and checked the snippets.. my gossh, they are all the way coming in da face. well done! I’m looking forward to listening to other ones as well!
regards,
boka
24. January 2009 at 20:12
Hi Rolf,
I’m curious if the album will be a burned CD with a printed cover (like the CDs CDJshop sells), or will it be a completely manufactered CD?
And how many copies are you going to produce/order at the beginning?
25. January 2009 at 19:50
the cd will of course be professionally manufactured… and there will be at least one cd available for every one regularly visiting this blog
25. January 2009 at 20:49
hope you recognize also visitors, which just haven’t posted much
I’m psyched to listen you CD!!
25. January 2009 at 23:20
My hard question is… Rolf, will be this album available on Vinyl also please??? Cause I’m vinyl lover and currently own 17 RMB vinyls (+ few with RMB tracks remixes:) I just need more aoaoaoah! In Poland there is not so easy to find RMB vinyls…
@Felix: I understand what you mean but I guess that Rolf was always doing most of job in RMB. It may sound hard but for me RMB can exists without Farid but never without Rolf!
But of course I have respect to Farid too.
26. January 2009 at 00:27
I’ll write only a post to show that I’m a regulary visitor =)
looking foward to a great new album…. The snippets give a good taste of the forthcoming…
26. January 2009 at 09:45
wicked! I remember those times when it was impossible to get both the DDB and Horizon maxi cds here in Hungary. Fortunately my sis went to Germany for a week and she could bring it for me…
26. January 2009 at 11:48
Is it finished yet?!
U do know that “the suspense is killing”
U R torturing us, man!
Good luck in the finishing touches and LOADS OF INSPIRATION!!!!!
26. January 2009 at 12:23
This “waitng” is a kind of sweet torture - there’s a nice treat waiting at the end, yet it’s still killing us
Sometimes I wish time could run a little bit faster…
26. January 2009 at 15:31
I never awaited for any album like this one because I know that it’s worth to wait for it!
28. January 2009 at 18:45
I like it!
This is a wonderful trip!
31. January 2009 at 23:28
Well.. it sounds much more like a Good “Rolf-Sound”
Sounds Good.
But something still seems to be missed.
Cant say what, sry
