74 min / 13 Tracks = 5 min 41 seconds in average per track.
But well, I guess there will be an intro, which will probably last shorter than a regular track. Let’s assume the intro come to 2:30. This alters our calculation a little bit
74 min - 2 min 30 seconds = 71 min 30 seconds
71 min 30 sec / 12 = 5 min 58 seconds per track
Well, but actually we could split the time differently. I mean, we all know Rolf likes long tracks, so what if there is a short interlude between the real tracks, and we got 13 tracks in total
13 track - 1 intro = 12 tracks
12 tracks = 6 interlude + 6 real tracks
Let’s make the assumption, that each interlude is about 30 seconds long.
74 min - 2 min 30 seconds - 6 * 30 seconds = 68 min 30 seconds
68 min 30 seconds / 6 real tracks = 11 min 25 secs per track
Sweeeeet. So I guess we’ll be overwhelmed by a great composed full album with 6 really long ass-kicking tracks and some muscial interludes
So long, looking forward to whatever Rolf will be presenting,
cheerio

@timon: the 13th march will also be a friday… maybe ill wait
@martin: your assumption is outdated… i dont prefer loooong tracks anymore… did you ever listen to the beatles…? or in fact any great song before the 90s…?
the 13 songs are meant to be full length tracks… most of them between 4 and 5 minutes long… but i believe that you wont count the minutes when listening to this album as i didnt try to fill up the 74 minutes as well… its the other way around: every second of music should be there for a purpose - if its redundant (as in many “dj compatible” vinyl versions for example) it wouldnt make it onto this album…
when listening to music i prefer songs which i like to play again after listening once to those where i skip the last minute because its boring this is especially true when listening on my ipod… i hate those “skip-extros”
I’m not superstitious, so I don’t care about magic number 13. It’s great to know, that album soon will be released! Can we expect personal autographs on it?
I also prefer to listen whole albums, not selected tracks. I always loved RMB albums, because they’ve been one whole long story.
I Prefer single Tracks, Cause i can Repreat my Favourite ones, without sounding like “cutted” if You know what i mean (bad Grammar)
And well, Realease the Album on Friday 13th, with 13 Tracks on it.. Sounds funny, why not?
I’m really looking forward to the Album, all i have heared until yet sounds really great.
Good Work Rolf.
I heard all snippets on your blog
I were pleasant very much all of them
Looks like the album will be similar on “Widescreen”, some songs will be fast, some more slowly
I’m also very interested in unreleased tracks. You said you had about 30 tracks or track pieces to choose from. So there could easily be one more album, because me and the others would definitely like all songs even if they’re not good enough in your eyes.
So PLEASE think about something like a B-Side Album or just a downloadable album.
Rolf i dunno if it has been asked before. Are the tracks goind to be mixed together? I listen to both Widescreen and MH on my iPod as one track, grabbed them into one file
Ich brauch das Album! Freu mich schon total darauf.
Au…
@seb i got a cd on the cover is big and fat RMB and in the booklet “all trax written and produced by Rolf Maier-Bode” so there is a RMB without Farid… cause there was RMB without Farid
i am looking forward to hear the sound of RMB again! i will buy the album so far as possible and it is great from rolf to produce a fresh new style for that kind of music!
i hope it will release in our country on friday the 13. i am from germany
Guys, why don’t you just abandon this fruitless political discussion? Eventually it’s the music that matters, isn’t it? Rolf said there will be 13 tracks on the CD. Does anybody have any idea about the tracklist? I wonder what the song titles will be…

The first release since… many years. Do you release it by yourself or is a music-label behind the release?

Au…
10. February 2009 at 12:06
@weblog
It is no RMB Album. It is a Rolf Maier Bode Album! If I got the meaning of Rolf’s comments we shouldn’t expect to see a new RMB album ever again.
10. February 2009 at 14:49
This is RMB=Rolf Maier Bode
10. February 2009 at 18:54
Really? I would never have thought of that…
Now serious - for me RMB will always be Rolf Maier Bode and Farid Gharadjedaghi. Will the new album actually be labeled RMB? I don’t think so…
10. February 2009 at 20:15
@seb i got a cd on the cover is big and fat RMB
and in the booklet “all trax written and produced by Rolf Maier-Bode”
so there is a RMB without Farid… cause there was RMB without Farid
10. February 2009 at 21:16
hey boys and girls,
i am looking forward to hear the sound of RMB again! i will buy the album so far as possible and it is great from rolf to produce a fresh new style for that kind of music!

@F-André - Thanks for the info. So I got that wrong. I always thought that before Farids time RMB was called rmb-trax.
By the way: I’m jealous. I also want a CD
11. February 2009 at 10:10
It’s quite funny, because for example on RMB - Love EP Farid did only the coverdesign
Tracklisting? Probably Jupiter Jesus will open the album, the rest is unknown yet.
16. February 2009 at 15:17
oooh ich freue mich!

@ Rolf:
Is there a reason for your division of the track list in three groups (1-4, 5-9, 10-13) ?
