Which song should definitly be remixed?
Don´t think this question is the same as “Whats your favourite”… keep in mind, that a remix often changes a lot… style, tempo, arrangement… so its rather about which song´s melody/theme/samples you would like to hear in a new style… and to make it a bit harder, you can only select ONE

Hmm, I voted for Stellarium, because it’s melody is great. But the more I think of it, it probably should have been “To you” because even in the current form it is awesome, and I’d be curious how you could transform this great melody into a more “Techno/trance” like song.

I cannot choose any option ;/ It’s hard to say which song could be remixed. It really depends from yours imagination etc.
Personally I wish to hear more of unreleased songs, new songs than only remixes.

Perhaps a nice raving remix of “TO YOU” and “STATE OF FLUX”. Maybe some ambient versions of “1971/7/4″ or “STATE OF FLUX”…

Ich habe auch erst an Challenge gedacht…. aber das ist so schon ein Hammerteil….. somit bin ich umgeswitched auf “Liquite Rite”. Ich finde das an sich schon ganz interessant, aber denke, damit kann man irgendwie noch mehr anstellen habe ich das Gefühl…. statt der Gläser schwirren mir da z.B. satte Gitarrenriffs im Kopf rum gekoppelt mit Breakbeats
Schade dass ich nicht fähig bin zu remixen

Well, of course i had some candidates that i already wanted to remix, but i never thought about TO YOU… thinking about it now… problem will be that it´s really slow (96) and i wanted to concentrate on 120+ remixes for now…

@Rolf: Why not trying it. I remember your fantastic remix of Nicolai “Ready to flow”
But ok, I wonder myself to, that people have chosen this track. For me it’ a nice addition on the album but for me it has no expressive outstanding melody to remix it… but everything is possible

@Rolf: Why don’t you remix “TO YOU” in a 120+ fashion? It would mean a lot of changes for this song but that’s the purpose of a remix, isn’t it? Knowing how you used to remix songs in the past I’m sure that the end effect would be amazing!

ich hab “to you” mal auf 120 bpm hochgedreht… klingt immer noch gut.
also man kann da n schönen remix drausmachen… trance vielleicht´mit nem housebeat oder nem breakbeat oder was sich so ergibt.
wie gesagt ein hightlight ist und bleibt TO YOU auf jeden fall!!!

The Cube wäre mein Favourite für einen Remix. Es erinnert mich von der Melodie-Struktur etwas an River’s Edge, und daher würde so eine schnellere, Version sicherlich dem Song eine neue Richtung geben.

I agree with “To you”. A remix can be done on the basis of the melody of “To you”, but in some part of the song another melody similar could be introduced… maybe it is easier to speed up to 120 bpm.
Other melodies have already been introduced during remixes in the past.
… just an idea…

In my view, any of them will do… Generally speaking a good remix is not a re-arrange but taking the song into an other dimension. The most important parts related to the song remain and then the fun starts…I would gladly work on any of the songs.

I would like to nominate #13 - To You.
And I would like to add to this remark that when I hear this track I think of the folowing short movie of mr Patrick Hughes:

Imagine that the track “To you” was the background tune for this movie short. I tried to imagine it in my mind. It would definitly fit!
And with this, you have a video with it to!
You might want to consider contacting Patrick Hughes if you may use the video for remixing “To you”

Rolf, if the remixes will result to phenomenal songs like Fearless, Wonders of life, Baraka or Everything (The Rise) then do it :-D.
I bought your album and I must admit it is very good and there is still clear sign of good old RMB especially in Liquid rite and Truth And Light which are my favourite. I’m perfectly aware that RMB is past and there is Rolf Maier Bode now but sometimes it is not bad to remember the history… And Truth And Light song (in my opinion) is the perfect candidate.

I liked the more agressive version of “State of Flux” (Stretching the seconds). Maybe you could remix it in that way.
I love “The Cube”, but I have no idea in which way it could be changed as it is perfect right now.
And I’d also like to have some unreleased tracks.
