Remix Contest…

Its an old idea, of course, but several people have asked for it, so here wo go:

If you produce music and are interested in remixing a THIRTEEN STORIES song, then please mail me. Send a snippet of one of your productions in the style you intend to remix and some information about you. I will answer with further details, if the style fits the general scheme of the remix album :)

If you really like to remix a special THIRTEEN STORIES song, include that info too… I can and will provide samples/files for ANY of the thirteen songs.

ATTENTION all remixers *****************************************************************************

If you have finished a remix, please only mail it as an mp3 to me as a standard email with your full name… i will then listen to each remix and answer, but it may take some days… good luck :)

    sounds great !!!! of course i gonna accept this challenge. at least i try.

    is there something like a deadline? you know, people like me are always busy and never finish their songs :P

    Hui. Bin irgendwie dabei. Snippets gibt’s zuhauf auf meiner Website (wobei ich da flexibel bin, ich kann auch was anderes als Trance) ;)

    Öhm. Wo issn da Mail? Nun ja, ich würd waaaahnsinnig gern mitmachen. Ach, nu weißte ja auch so bescheid. Insofern: Ich will da bitte bitte mitmachen.

    I’d really like to do a remix because you don’t often get the chance to remix one of your heroes.
    But I’m afraid I’m not good enough yet, and furthermore it usually takes me MONTHS to produce a good track as I don’t have much time for this. :(

    If you don’t mind I would be happy to get the samples and post a link in this blog when my remix is finished.

    after starting a remix for state of flux, i tried to remix stellarium, than i tried the cube, but i was never really glad about the results. finally im very happy about remixing vertigo now. but f***, the system of my laptop is kind of broken, and dont really now how fast i can fix it…. :(
    i guess i have to show my remix later…

    @Timon i thought aboput remixing another track but i couldnt decide wich one:) and i dont wnat to look like somebody who wnats the whole album as samples *fg*;). but im very satisfied with my decision some track are good for remixing (when u have the right idea) some like 1971 are little bit hard cause they have a special feeling (or so to say u know them from the album in their style)

    Rolf, how is the contest going on? do you know, when (around) will be the deadline for sending rmxes? i am nearly finished with challenge and i have already started with stellarium.. and i would like to know how much time i have got :) thanks

    to all activly working on remixes: take your time!
    as i dont want to state dates that may change again, i simply will wait until there are enough remixes finished… even my own mixes will need at least weeks from now on… the good thing with slowing down the remix project is: i already work on new ROLF MAIER BODE material for 2010…

    cool so whats with actually done remixes ? is there a possibillity to change them? i maybe work on my mix a little bit (its not bad but i had to hurry) i thought it would not be finish when the contest ends..

    hätte ich das hier mal eher gelesen. “state of flux” muss auf jedenfall in einer rmb-mäßigen 180bpm version rauskommen, das bietet sich bei dem track einfach auch an. aber andererseits bin ich niemand, der seine lieblingslieder remixed, da gibts einfach tracks an denen ich mich nie “vergreifen” würde weil ich mir da der aufgabe einfach nicht würdig genug vorkomme.
