2010…
Hi to all and sorry for the enduring silence… i am quite busy with several projects right now and it is realistic to say that the remixes wont be released this year…
On the other hand i had some really cool ideas for new 2010 stuff for ROLF MAIER BODE…

Good news, so
30. October 2009 at 13:28
I’m curious. Any hints concerning the “new 2010 stuff”?
30. October 2009 at 18:13
Good to know, looking forward for another news
30. October 2009 at 20:02
Fine,
- but what exactly happen with our remixes,
Make you upload in this blog,,, … or … ..????
(I’ve just finished another one.)
30. October 2009 at 20:35
it’s good that you now have different projects… was the “13 stories” a little bit of “jumping start” for them?
30. October 2009 at 22:29
looking forward to the new stuff, rolf!!!
by the way… although still working on my remix of “challenge”, am i allowed to add the current snippet to my myspace player (of course no download)? so far im okay with my remix (as narcisstic it may sound)…
kind regards
chris

the remix project is not cancelled… i will work on it at the end of the month and maybe finish it in november… including listening to ALL of your remixes of course…

Well since things are currently kinda quite here on the blog I’ll just use this harmonic state of blog to thank you for the “This World is Yours”-album. It is just beyond words, religious in a way really. I don’t think there is any other artistic creation out there that I have invested as many thoughts and feelings into.
03. November 2009 at 21:36
He said Jehovah!
But still, I agree with him.
04. November 2009 at 10:57
I could not stop to listen to it, and still now it is more than actual.
It is the best album in all the music environment. Every song in this album is perfect to me. No one that I dislike even a bit.
It is difficult and maybe impossible that today an artist (maybe even you Rolf) can figure out such quality of album.
It’s my opinion

Good luck Rolf with the new 2010 stuff! I can’t wait to get it!
11. November 2009 at 12:10
Rolf: I understand that you won’t disclose details, but was the “Thirteen stories” project (financially) as successful as hoped?
I mean, could you make a living if you published one such CD once a year? Just curious, if this type of of selling CDs can also be successful, if one doesn’t have a major label behind oneself.
But great you already have ideas for 2010 - good luck!
11. November 2009 at 13:42
Following the question of Martin S.,
Do you plan to have a label for the 2010 project?
And do you think that you could produce at least a track more “commercial” in order to create a videoclip and to compete in the european/international music market?
I wish you success for the coming album and we wait some sample
11. November 2009 at 18:11
no, i couldnt live a year from the income that THIRTEEN STORIES generated, but that never was the plan anyway… it was the start of my new main musical project, and although i´d really liked to get the NME cover story
i obviously didnt expect it… especially my decision to keep the whole album instrumental should be a clear sign that i didnt aim at the “charts”…
when my new stuff will be finished (maybe an EP earlier instead of an album later?) and a label would be interested i´d be glad to discuss possibilities, but i am not interested in someone interfering with my artistic decisions beforehand.
@cris: its hard to define “commercial”, but i definitly am thinking about vocals, so if that is what you´ve meant… if you are talking about mellow, “commercial”, europophousetrance… errr, no….
11. November 2009 at 19:54
I’d love vocals in some of the songs, but totally agree with you concerning Eurodance/trance sh**.
12. November 2009 at 18:27
Öhm.. .yes an EP would be nice
And i agree, it is very very difficult, to say this is commercial and that isn’t. I like the Rolf Maier Bode Style and I will wait…and wait and wait untill we get new stuff. Maybe at Christmas a little track as a present
12. November 2009 at 20:25
Finale 2 for example.
13. November 2009 at 00:26
Yes, Finale 2 is recommended.
13. November 2009 at 05:49
…. or the “trance” track I don’t know the name right now… in the blog last year in summer..
13. November 2009 at 10:53
it was called “classic trance”. i still like it very much!
. just some “food” for the fans, hehe..
@Rolf: just give us a free download of this song as a full version
13. November 2009 at 12:18
I’m another fan who will agree such “classic trance” present for Christmas.
Maybe through our emails, like you, Rolf, did at the begin with first songs that you presented us through the RMB forum in this way.
13. November 2009 at 14:19
maybe i should use my THIRTEEN STORIES database, giving a bonus song to everyone who bought the album… if there happens to be one until xmas
13. November 2009 at 18:58
I agree, classic trance is one of my favorits…
13. November 2009 at 19:48

A Christmas song by ROLF MAIER BODE sounds like a nice idea
It could be a great alternative to the whole mainstream radio stuff that everybody is fed up with… A nice surprise for happy family evenings
I really would like to hear in your music, how you feel about this special winter time, even if it’s not “Christmas Trance”
14. November 2009 at 00:54
classic trance yes, please! more old stuff!

You can read my mind. That was exactly my thoughts!!
14. November 2009 at 13:13
I also would be very intressted in all the tracks you had on your webpage one time! Like Bunkerlicht, Streitross, Pc I cant remember all names… But the short parts were awesome!! Looking forward and hope for a release
14. November 2009 at 15:05
mmmhhh… STREITROSS!!! mmmhhh…
17. November 2009 at 15:13
@Rolf: Thanks for answering my questions, it’s really appreciated! And I personally prefer a full-length album later than an EP earlier, but that’s just my opinion.
@V-12: Classic Trance rocks, yes. And I am a huge fan of the spring/reality style of songs, so I was definitely not a fan of a lot of break-beat style RMB songs from later years.
But the style on Thirteen Stories is just awesome, I just heard “State of flux” again and that song is soooo amazing despite being “new stuff”. I think with great melodies it doens’t matter if a song is rather old-style or new-style, it’s just a pleasure to listen to - even after hearing a song 100 times.
That said, an album full of “finale one” or “classic trance” style would certainly be one of the best album on earth
18. November 2009 at 11:33
@Rolf
Talking about melodies. That’s one of the few points of criticism I have wrt 13 Stories. I like the melodies a lot, but sometimes they are a bit repetitive and I think that some of the songs would greatly benefit from more variations. Alternatively, changing the instrumentation, i.e. using vocals would help a lot.
18. November 2009 at 21:17
@Martin S.: well, I like breakbeat RMB songs so I have nothing against them. But as I said, we need some classic trance (it’s funny, that now we call it classic:) because trance cannot be forgotten. I also wish to hear something in ‘95 style, maybe Rolf has some unreleased old tracks?
Like DM released their demos, so Rolf could do it too
Imho Thirteen Stories lacks songs like Finale one or classic trance.
19. November 2009 at 06:03
we talk about “classic trance” because the snippet was called so in about August last year
23. November 2009 at 08:35
By the way: Rolf, could you lift the secret behind “1971/7/4″? What’s the story?
09. December 2009 at 17:52
hm… also im Nicolaus-Stiefel war noch kein Gimmick
11. December 2009 at 09:20
@tomek: der weg ist das ziel!
15. December 2009 at 09:10
Only 10 days remaining till the arrival with his gifts (I hope) of… “Santa Rolf”
15. December 2009 at 15:37
Me, too…!
15. December 2009 at 19:35

06. January 2010 at 20:34

i would love to hear your opinion
14. January 2010 at 19:30
I’ve found Rolf’s songs from Thirteen Stories on Lastfm - is this legal?
16. January 2010 at 09:10
yes, because they only have a lengh about 30 seconds and he himself adjusted it.
16. January 2010 at 18:55
I listened to whole one song…
20. January 2010 at 06:10

We didn’t hear from you for a long time!

I’ve got a question. What about festivals this summer? Are there any possibilities that we might be able to see ROLF MAIER BODE live? Preferably somewhere in in Europe=)
17. February 2010 at 22:46
Hi! Rolf. Thnx for your Stories ( all stories).
I’m waiting for new 2010 stuff from ROLF MAIER BODE.
