2013
hi there, news for you!
The Album is growing and growing, new computer is running fine mostly (Mac Mini Quad i7) and so many ideas are being worked on at the same time… Last sunday, for example, i recorded a beautiful female voice and a cello and one of the “maybe” tracks really grew into something great… (ill post that later)
Alas, with all those new ideas and paths i´d like to follow i wont finsish production this month. So if i work until XMAS i will get the manufactured CD maybe the second week of january… 2013 that is…
But to my mind IT REALLY IS WORTH THE WAITING
(waiting for you, passionately WORKING for me)

Here is a document of me “having fun”

And i am not absolutely sure about this one… it was a very cool session with a singer/guitarist and my new analog METABOX… i modulated his voice+guitar in real time and just put some drums beneath… i really like it, but dont know if it fits the rest of my stuff…

If the world won’t end in 2012 we’ll wait till Jan’13

That is what I bought all my hifi equipment for :)) Keep going on that way, sounds amazing. Completely in love with your sounds, especially snippet one …
Can’t wait to buy the final result :))

Dranbleiben.

Wow. Da hast Du echt was nettes gezaubert.

the computer says no bei dem 3ten snippet

Oh, ich freu mich! :)))

Sounds great! Definitely worth the wait! Keep going!
…and I’m really looking forward to the track with vocals!

Cool, thanks for the new stuff!
First track:
I really like the piano part and the rest, but it feels like those are two different tracks which don’t blend very well in the current mix. I don’t mind rough breaks, quite the contrary. But here it’s… hard to explain.
Third track:
This one is also good imho but, I agree with you, it probably might not fit the other tracks you put on the blog lately. Apart from that, I think it’s in dire need of additional ideas.
Second track: Sorry, but that’s totally not my cup of tea. :/
Keep up the good work!

The third track is clearly the my favourite of those three. It is a bit different but I do think it would fit the album. Great tracks always fit
To You on thirteen stories also was a bit different than the rest and it is an important part of the album because it is such a great track.

Track #1 - amazing. This is what I need. Especially because there is a power, energy, melody and piano in the middle.
Track #2 - quite static track without growing atmosphere and some experimental sounds. But still I heard that it was done by You
Track #3 - not sure if this track fits for your new album. I would switch to more energetic melodic trance tracks.

@entropy
Yes, I agree that the two parts do not perfectly blend yet - especially when the piano part appears first. But hey, it’s a working demo…

The “fun” part is quite viral. It can stick in your head for the entire day.
23. November 2012 at 17:59
So, the album will be called 2013 Stories I guess…?

Best is third track–definetly good for listening by the sea with a glass of wine–cheers

Track #1 and #2 are not my … ok, track #2 sounds like you “having fun”. But for me to “simple” … have a more or less short melody repeating again and again over the complete track. I have enough after a minute. But track #3 … why does it not fit? That’s a sound/melody you can listen more than once … and you do not hear the repeating. For me that’s the Rolf trying to make experimental sounds which you do not hear from a dozen other electronic artists/projects.

Bin gespannt was ihr sagt

Hi Rolf,
Aldough I really like your music, I must be honest with you.
I do not like really these 3 samples.
This is just my thinking, I hope you don’t mind.
1st sample:
This one can be good, but I feel something is still missing maybe the main “story”. Aldough I like the piano seqence, this makes the song like it would be the mix of two different songs.
2nd sample:
This song is the less “Rolf Like”. This sounds like Scooter.
This sample is a bit annoying.
3rd sample:
This can be also a good song in the end.
The only thing, that I feel that there is too many FX on this one.
Maybe if you remove a few FX preset, or just remove/change the FX of the vocal, it can help to make a song a bit better.
I really wait for your new album, and hope that maybe you will make some live sessions in the future (maybe also in Hungary
)
Regards,
Peter

Any updates Rolf? Are you getting along well?
18. December 2012 at 11:45
Well, the last weeks were not so productive to be honest… the steps further up the hill have been tiny and straining… some really nice soft songs have been developed, but i am still looking for a male singer with an extraordinary (deep) voice and some songs still wait for that “next level” feeling i want to have… ill go on working the next days, but make a break of ten days then…

Kennst Du William Cohn von R&B? Der soll auch Saenger sein.

10. January 2013 at 20:30
HAAAALLLOOOOOOO!!!!!
…second week of january…
…und immer noch nix :-(.
11. January 2013 at 14:24
Yeah, i will post some stuff next week, but need more time finishing…
other measures will follow if needed…
Starting next week i will use an internet blocker from 9:30 to 17:30 to get more productive
14. January 2013 at 16:14
No problem.. Just mail all the Repliers when ready.. will not check the blog or post comments until I recieve a mail how to listen/order the result!
So you can keep your production speed for 110%
Have some good days! I’m very courious for the results!
15. January 2013 at 19:01
To speed up things here i do not go online from 9:30 to 18:00 (only Mails twice)
That really helps… those Facebook-minutes add up…
24. January 2013 at 06:35
Hey Rolf,
I was somehow amazed that 13-stories and 13-nights are available at simfy; will your new album show up there as well (maybe with a delay)? And what about the Sound Tourist stuff? Would be nice as well!
So, keep on working hard!
Greetings from the States
26. January 2013 at 15:05
Spotify and simfy are practically like giving your music away for free…
On the other hand one might get new fans, so i thought id try it with the older releases…
But real fans get the ORIGINAL CD if its available, right?
30. January 2013 at 02:38
for sure!!!!!!!
But it’s nice to have it in this collection too… BTW are you payed from s***fy per each played song (if so, I would play it more often
or once per customer?
