I will post a preversion of a 2010 version of “Finale” here and will improve it everytime the german team wins

The Doepfer Dark Energy is a small semi-modular analog synthesizer and was one of my “self given” christmas presents… its a little box with knobs which really invite to modulate sounds… but its only monophonic (one “voice” only)
So i played around with a little sequence, plugged in the output of another sound-source and recorded five different tracks with heavy modulation…

Then i added some “classic” progressive drums and percussion, some effects… i had an idea for a sample as well, which lead to the title “SECOND TIME”, but i wasnt pleased with it yet… but as an instrumental its quite enjoyable i think…

I tried some things, but those two ideas will be worth some further work to my mind.
I thought a deep, pumping style would fit best to the freaky voice of TRUTH AND LIGHT…

it uses a lot of reamping and automation and i will describe many of the processes when the album is finished and i do my “one week one song” feature in this blog…
Yesterday has been another day in the studio finally fixing another two songs…
one of them is about the natural human behaviour of searching for knowledge - the feeling that drives mankind into exploring the unknown… here is a little snippet

this is the newest version without a 4/4 beat… the drumming works much better with the bells… and this snippet begins within a break not at the beginning…

Today i was working on a mix of rock elements (melodic solo guitar, distorted guitars and compressed acoustic drums) with “dance” elements like claps and a 909 bassdrum…

I personally like the unusual halftempo beginning (it also ends like that) and consider it as an album track but i also think of producing a more danceable remix with a dj compatible beginning for 2009…
